I Love My Job

I Love My Job!

I love my job. I love the pay!
I love it more and more each day.
I love my boss, he is the best!
I love my receptionist and all the rest.
I love my operatory and sterilization. I hate to have to go on vacation.
I love my stool, drab and grey, and lots of charts every day!
I think my job is really swell, there’s nothing else I love so well.
I love to work among my peers; I love my patient’s screams and tears.
I love my computer and its software; and all the IT people that really don’t care.
I love my cavitron and digital x-rays; I want to use them all of my days.
I dream of handpieces and bur blocks; but it’s hand scalers that really rock.
Calculus and cavities make me smile; Show me a mouth that’s really vile!
I’m happy to be here. I am. I am.
I’m the happiest hygienist. Oh yes I am.
I love this work. I love these chores.
I love headstart mornings; they’re never a bore.
I love my job – I’ll say it again – I even love those friendly men.
Those friendly men who’ve come today, in clean white coats to take me away!!!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas..

...at our house!!  Today Jake and I set up the Christmas tree and the stockings.  We put the little knick knacks around the house that remind us of the season (santa, a little elf, a holiday penguin, cinnamon-scented pinecones, etc.).  This year we bought some new LED lights to go across the big window in the living room.  They look like big icicles slowly dripping.  I love them!!

Puppy update:  All of the puppies have grown so fast!!!  We have been weaning them and they seem to be doing great.  They like to run around and bark and wrestle one another.  They are the cutest little things!!  We bought them little collars at the dollar store, and since I don't feel like we should really name them ourselves, we just refer to them by the color of their collar.  So we have Red, Red Stripe, Orange, Blue, Black, and Camo.  Camo has figured out how to escape from the whelping box even though Jake has built add-ons to make the entry into the box taller twice already.  Little stinker.  :)  We have homes for Camo and Black, but we are still looking for the perfect homes for the others.  Blue is so mellow and a great cuddler.  He is a little black boy.  And all three girls still need great homes too.  Orange loves to cuddle too, and Red and Red Stripe like to bark at shadows and roll and tumble.  We want to give them to homes where they will be treated like a part of the family, so INSIDE dogs ONLY.  If you know of someone who would like to add a puppy to their family, they will be ready to go on Dec. 30.  If Santa forgot to bring you a puppy, it's probably at our house!!  Let me know if you are interested.
