I love how music always has a way of saying just how you feel. Most of the time my go-to artists are either Tim McGraw or the Goo Goo Dolls. Between them both they usually can define how I am feeling in any given day. Today though, with Jake gone back to Idaho for a while I am feeling especially lonely. I was listening to Pandora this morning and this Gary Allan song came on and I thought, "This is it. This is the song for today." Here are the lyrics:
Life ain't always beautiful
Sometimes it's just plain hard
Life can knock you down, it can break your heart
Life ain't always beautiful
You think you're on your way
And it's just a dead end road at the end of the day
But the struggles makes you stronger
And the changes make you wise
And happiness has its own way of takin' it sweet time
No,life aint always beautiful
Tears will fall sometimes
Life aint always beautiful
But it's a beautiful ride
Life aint always beautiful
Some days I miss your smile
I get tired of walkin' all these lonely miles
And I wish for just one minute
I could see your pretty face
Guess I can dream, but life don't work that way
But the struggles makes me stronger
And the changes make me wise
And happiness has its own way of takin' its sweet time
No, life ain't always beautiful
But I know I'll be fine
Hey, life ain't always beautiful
But its a beautiful ride
What a beautiful ride

Last day with Jake
Today is my last day with my husband before he returns to Pocatello to get the house fixed up to be rented and to pack up all our stuff and bring it to Oregon. We spent the day checking out some local attractions: Empire Lakes and Mingus Park, both of which were simply beautiful!!! Here are some pictures of our adventures today:

New Oregonians, but still Idahoans at heart
We moved to Coos Bay, Oregon so I could start my new job on March 26, 2012. We arrived on the 24th and lived in a hotel room with our two dogs for a week! It was hard, and it rained EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. that first week. But this last week we have had some nice sunny days and luckily they landed on days that Jake and I could both go exploring around the area together. Last night we went to Bandon, Oregon, which is abot a half hour drive from Coos Bay. We walked along the beach there and I was able to take some beautiful pictures of the sunset!
Today we went to Horsfall Beach, which is only about eight miles from our house!! It has a day fee of $5 per vehicle, but it is totally worth it!! We took Molly and Deuce with us for their first visit to the ocean. Molly was skittish of the waves at first, but she has always been a little afraid of the water. But as the afternoon wore on, she warmed up to it a lot and would run into the water after shells and rocks and whatever she could fetch that Jake would throw for her. Both dogs had a great time!
So far we are loving Oregon. We found a nice place to rent with 3 bedrooms and one bath, with an extra bedroom and bath added onto the garage. It has a side yard for the dogs and then a fenced in back yard as well. Everything here is so green! And the ocean views are to die for. There is a small group of deer that come up right outside my dental office almost every day. There are two baby deer and then two more older deer and sometimes a mommy deer or two. It's so much fun to watch them! They are literally within twenty feet of the reception area window. I love my new job. I love being THE hygienist for the office, and most of all I love that it is full time!! We hope to have some visitors soon! Hint....hint!!!
