Dental Hygienist Poem

I learned in school the tricks of this trade,
To keep teeth clean, the ones God made.
I try and am as gentle as can be,
Even the children love to see me!!
All the day people come,
To wait their turn to check their gum.
Children like my special chair,
The one that goes up and down in the air.
Kids say it feels like there's no gravity,
They play outer space while I check for cavities!!
I could have been a doctor or chemist,
But I'm glad I chose to be a dental hygienist!

  1. Hello... I was wondering where the Dental Hygienist poem came from and if it is copyrighted?
If not... I would like to use it in a school publication... but need to know it's origin. Would appreciate some help. Thanks... mbn

  2. I don't truly remember the source. I know I credited "Heidi Divine" at the bottom of the poem, as you can see, but it was just a google search that I stumbled across one day. I have tried to find it again, but have had no success yet. I will update with more info if I happen to find it again. Thanks for the interest!!
