Third Trimester Begins!

We are officially in the third trimester!!  This sounds really exciting on one hand, but on the other hand, it really scares me!!  We are getting closer and closer to "The Big Day" which makes me super nervous.  Plus....we are almost parents!!!  :o

Today was another doctor's appointment.  First we went over to the lab and I had to drink the glucose water stuff.  It didn't taste as bad as I had prepared myself for.  But it still didn't taste good.  Luckily I didn't have to drink as much as I thought I did!!  Then we went over to the doctor's office while we waited for an hour for the blood draw.  Today he was planning on giving me the Pertussis vaccine, but I brought my vaccination record with me and he looked at it and said I already had it so I didn't need it again!!  :D  Score one for "Team Avoid Needles!!"  Yes!!  I'm right on target with my weight gain so far, and my blood pressure is great!!  Baby Boy's heart-rate is in the upper 150's and I am measuring good!  From now on our appointments will be getting closer and closer together.  Our doctor said our next one will be in 3 weeks and then after that we might have another 3 week one or we might change over to every 2 weeks.  Eventually we will be seeing him every week!  We went back over to the lab and they took my blood, which actually hurt more than the last time they did it, even though I had the same lady.  :/  Our doctor said he would call us in the next week if I failed the glucose test (which means I would then have to go take a 3 hour glucose test instead of this one hour and they would poke me MORE times and make me drink more of that nasty drink) or if I'm anemic (so he can put me on iron supplements).  Hopefully my phone doesn't ring.  ;)

This last weekend was really fun.  We had a baby shower in Pocatello, ID, while we were in town to get Jake's braces off.  My friend Denise had a really fun game planned involving candy bars and matching them to baby phrases and topics.  It was hard!!  Jake's mom made some DELICIOUS cupcakes (red velvet with a cream cheese frosting) that had monkey topper things on them.  They were super cute!!  Baby Boy was seriously spoiled by friends and family.  We got a lot of cute clothes, shoes, socks, and other essentials like diapers, burping cloths, bibs, wipes, and more!!  It was nice to know that so many people care about and love Baby Boy already.  <3.  Thanks, everyone!!
