Dental Hygienist Poem

I learned in school the tricks of this trade,
To keep teeth clean, the ones God made.
I try and am as gentle as can be,
Even the children love to see me!!
All the day people come,
To wait their turn to check their gum.
Children like my special chair,
The one that goes up and down in the air.
Kids say it feels like there's no gravity,
They play outer space while I check for cavities!!
I could have been a doctor or chemist,
But I'm glad I chose to be a dental hygienist!

Camping, Schritter Style!

This year we went camping again at Panther Creek.  To help you figure out where we were, it is out past Salmon, past the North Fork of the Snake River.  It was so fun!!  Deuce has to stay home for another year, but Molly got to go again and she loved every minute of it!!

My First Bass!!

I caught my first bass in Lake Walcott, Idaho on July 31, 2011!!!  He was nearly 12 inches long, and tasted.....delicious!!

He already had these two crawdads in his stomach, and was STILL hungry for my bait!!

Vacay!!!

So we just returned from our week long vacation in Las Vegas/Saint George!!  I have SO many pics, but I decided to just share a few here to give you a general idea of our trip!!  Here we are, riding The Deuce, the bus that takes you up or down the strip, 24 hours a day!!  Only $7 for a 24 hour pass!!

Before we visited the Pawn Stars pawn shop!!  Rick, the Old Man, and Corey were not there....but it was still cool to say, "We have been there!!!" the next time the show came on TV!!

This is us all strapped in and ready to zipline down Fremont Street!!  Everyone should try this!!  It's only $15 before 6pm, and $20 after that.  Totally worth the extra five bucks to do it when all the lights are on down Fremont Street!!!!

But the best part was coming home to IDAHO!!!!

Weekend in Boise!!!!

I have the best husband in the world!!  For my birthday/our anniversary he got us tickets to see Tim McGraw!!!!!!!!  Thursday night was spent at the concert, and then Friday we took Boise by storm!!  We went downtown and ate lunch at a sweet little Irish Pub, then we walked around downtown and checked out little shops, art galleries, and even visited the Idaho Candy place where they make the Idaho Spud bars!!!  Then it was off to the park and Zoo Boise, and we rode the paddle boats!!  Then we spent a couple of hours at the mall before we ate at the Cheesecake Factory!!  We were both first timers there!!!  On Saturday we checked out the Discovery Center of Idaho before making the four hour journey home.  Thanks for a fantastic weekend honey!!  I love you!!!

Happy Anniversary!!

Yesterday was our one year anniversary!!  Yep, for the last 366 days I have been married to my best friend, my biggest supporter, my love, my life, my everything, my HUSBAND, and I couldn't imagine it any other way.  We are going to the Tim McGraw concert in a few days so we decided that we would do most of our celebrating this weekend in Boise while we where there.  But we still had to do something on our special day, so we decided to take a day trip and see Shoshone Falls.  Neither of us had ever been there before, but we have heard that with the water levels so high this year the falls were quite amazing!

 

Memorial Day Fishing Trip

Today Jake, my little sister Jo, and I went fishing!!  Jake was the only one of us who caught a fish, but we all had a great time, especially Molly I think!!  She loves to get out and run up and down the bank.  This time she even got more adventurous and stepped in to the water a little more.  She was also brave enough to get out on the middle of a tree  that was over the water to check on Jo!!  We went up to Twin Lakes Reservoir, near Preston, Idaho.
