Hobby-less

I have recently decided that I am bored. Really bored. I mean, I can seriously only do laundry, sweep, mop, and/or vacuum the floors, clean the bathroom, do the dishes, dust, and stare at the wall for a certain amount of time before I really go nuts. So I decided to find a hobby. But what? I have had a couple of suggestions, but either I wasn't interested in them, or I thought it was a grandma hobby, etc. I even tried a few. I made a bunch of paper snowflakes for our big front window. Ok. Now what? I tried making necklace pendants out of flat washers. I still don't know if I like those or not. And last night I made Christmas cards. Can we say "Fail" on that one.......Maybe I'm just not a crafty person? Is it possible for it to be impossible to have a hobby?

Maybe you should volunteer at a dog shelter or something since you love animals so much. Just a thought.

That is exactly how I feel. I try lots of things but they all end up in a huge mess. Whenever you think of a good hobby let me know.

How he proposed...

Jake works nights, and got off work around 9am on Nov. 25th. He went home, loaded up his stuff and our dog, Molly, and drove the nearly 500 miles to Saint George. When he arrived I was still at work, so he stopped by to get my key. When I got home, he had gone through my closet and had picked out some clothes for me to wear. As I freshened up and fixed my hair he pulled out one of those little plastic bubble containers that you get from the fifty cent machines at Walmart. It had a super fake ring in it. "I got you something!" he said. I kinda rolled my eyes and put the plastic container to the side. "Come back when you have the real thing" I said. Then we went to Red Lobster and he was telling me how shaky he felt because he had been awake for so long and tried to stay up by drinking energy drinks and coffee and other forms of caffeine. (In hindsight, he was nervous!) Then he started asking me where I wanted to go on vacation this next summer. I told him I didn't want to go on a vacation again, I wanted to go on a honeymoon. He said, "Well I tried to ask you to marry me earlier!" And I said, "Yeah, but you did it all wrong!! You had a fake ring, you weren't down on one knee..." "Well, I didn't want to get my pants dirty," he replied. "What are you talking about!" I exclaimed. "I vaccuumed my room like 3 times before you got here!"
"No, I meant here" he said, as he pulled the ring in it's box out of his pocket and placed it on the table. "Will you marry me?"
